One Book Every Young Child Program this Saturday

We are excited about our Free One Book/Every Young Child program this
SATURDAY, MARCH 26, 2:00PM in the Winsor Room.

This year's selection is Whose Shoes? by Stephen R. Swinburne. Join us for stories, crafts and more for ages 2-5, with an adult. Every participant will receive a copy of the book to keep. Register ONLINE, by phone (610-687-1124 ext 41 or in person.

One Book Every Young Child and one Mole

Nearly 60 Radnor community members joined us for our One Book Every Young Child program on March 27th. Activities included learning some particularly odd facts about Moles, we read - What a Treasure by Will and Jane Hillenbrand, sang Mole songs, and transformed Lois Ehlert's story Mole's Hill: A Woodland Tale. We also set up stations for children to dig, and explore and create. Check out our video.




Special shout outs to Shayna Patel who assisted with the program and to Molly Carroll for her great photography skills. Finally, we wish to thank the family of Barry Goslin for his touching music.

It's a Treasure!!

Join Radnor Memorial Library for One Book Every Young Child on Saturday March 27th at 2 p.m. For children aged 2 - 5. Activities include: stories, songs, and a take home craft.

Book distributed to participants. $2 suggested craft donation.

The selection for this year's program is What a Treasure! by Jane and Will Hillenbrand.

One Book, Every Young Child information and program ideas have been developed by librarians and museum educators from across Pennsylvania to promote the value and benefits of reading early and often to preschoolers and to encourage family bonding through books and reading.

One Book Every Young Child Program

On March 28 nearly 60 community members enjoyed our "One Book Every Young Child" program. This year the selected book was If You Were a Penguin by Wendell and Florence Minor. Miss Carlson led the group in several songs while Children's Librarian Abbe Klebanoff accompanied on her ukulele. The kids had a blast with the "Iceberg Relay" race, the Fish Toss, a craft and many educational side activities. Thanks to The Snakeoilers for original music!
