We had so much fun at the first of our two-part after school "About the Author" series. Eric Carle was our featured author. We learned fun facts about Mr. Carle heard his speak about artwork, we read books, made an awesome butterfly craft and participated in a flannel board story. Check out the video here. Thanks to Radnor's Teen Coordinator Molly Carroll, for fashioning a giant Hungry Caterpillar for all to enjoy. Did you know that this year marks the 41st anniversary of his book The Hungry Caterpillar?
Once again, a big thanks to Barry Goslin's family for the use of his music

Don't forget to register for our next program on Oct. 19th for our Mo Willems presentation!!

Don't give up on Picture Books Too soon.

The New York Times proves what Miss Carlson, head of Children's Services, has been telling parents for 40 years - don't rush your child out of reading picture books. She tells parents "your child has only one childhood" noting the developmental importance these books. Check out this article here.
