
Beth Zigmont, 8th grade teacher at Radnor Middle School led 64 children in GlaxoSmithKline's Science in the Summer program. From June 28 to July 1 for 45 minutes a day, the children explored Chemistry. We learned about Chemical and Physical reactions; different states of matter - gas, solids and liquids; looking at density, and finally acids and bases.
In this video, Ms. Zigmont demonstrates a how a Hollywood moive might create a witches brew made from a chemical reaction of dry ice and water. Additionally, she illustrates liquid nitrogen evaporation process to the astonishment of the kids. Music by Miss Abbe using GarageBand.
