One Book Every Young Child Program
On March 28 nearly 60 community members enjoyed our "One Book Every Young Child" program. This year the selected book was If You Were a Penguin by Wendell and Florence Minor. Miss Carlson led the group in several songs while Children's Librarian Abbe Klebanoff accompanied on her ukulele. The kids had a blast with the "Iceberg Relay" race, the Fish Toss, a craft and many educational side activities. Thanks to The Snakeoilers for original music!
Stevie J. Morasco plays Ukulele to great reviews!!

Stevie J. Morasco of The Snakeoilers fame, was a special guest at Miss Abbe's March 24, 2009 preschool storytime. As the children enjoyed a power-point presentation of Nit-pickin' by Nancy Van Laan, Steve played his uke to music he composed while singing the words to the book. Children accompanied Steve on egg shakers. Thank you, Steve. Stevie J, by the way, will lead our summer Ukulele band in July.

Talk to the Hand!
Nearly 150 Radnor Library audience members enjoyed Ventriloquist Marian for a lively program of puppets, song and fun on March 7, 2009. Marian brought her “friends” Aunt Sophie, a life-sized ostrich who encourages children with song, Dudley, the quick-witted bird, and Chester T. Mouse, who has a fondness for cheese. Marian’s daughter Jenny, an accomplished ventriloquist in her own right,“spoke” to the mischievous Zoe.
